The First Republic of Georgia – Educational Project
The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia organized the educational project “The First Democratic Republic of Georgia” in 2015 for the first time.
The project held in 2014/2015 – 2016/2017 academic years, caused the great interest of the society. Firstly, the schools of Tbilisi participated in the project that was added the schools of Rustavi, Mtskheta, Gori, Kaspi and Dusheti in 2016-2017. In 2017-2018 academic year the National Archives decided to cover the schools of all Georgia.
The project “The First Democratic Republic of Georgia” was divided into the following stages: 1) with the assistance of the Resource Centers of the Ministry of Education the information about of the project was spread in the schools. At the same time the information concerning the application and the competition conditions were available through the website of the National Archives; 2) in the defined deadline the special applications were filled and sent to the indicated e-mail address by the schools willing to participate in the project; 3) the registered schools will be sent electronically the literature to prepare for the quiz and the regulations of quiz till 10 March 2018; 4) the semi-final stage of the quiz will be held in principle of What?Where?When? simultaneously in Kutaisi, Batumi and Tbilisi. This stage will display the participants of the final, 50 most high scored schools throughout Georgia; 5) the final stage will be held in Tbilisi. Three winner schools will be displayed and awarded with special prizes in different nominees.
The students of VIII-XII grades of the secondary schools are welcomed to participate in the project.
The quiz will be held among the teams presented by the schools. Teams consisting five players and captains will participate in the game. The event will be attended and apprised by judges. The winners of the quiz will be displayed in different nominees.
The winners will be awarded with prizes and deeds.
The preparation stage of the project began in December 2017, the final of the event will be held in May 2018.
