Simon Amirejibi's Report / 1921

 The National Archives of Georgia is publishing a report (1921) of professor Simon Amirejibi - the founder of bacteriology and hygiene in Georgia, regarding the work of the bacteriology department.

Simon Amirejibi – a Georgian scientist and one of the founders and the director of the Faculty of Medicine of Tbilisi State University (1919) and Tbilisi Sanitary Hygiene Institute in 1926-1933. On the Faculty of Medicine he founded the Department of Bacteriology (1919) and General Hygiene (1920) and on the Faculty of Agronomy of Tbilisi State University - Department of Microbiology (1919). In 1919 he led the production of vaccines and serums in Georgia. Simon Amirejibi was born in August 19, 1877.
