The semifinal of the educational project of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia – “The First Republic of Georgia” – will be held on April 26, 2018 in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi simultaneously.

374 registered teams from the regions and the capital of Georgia will take part in the semifinal, with 6 members in each.

The event is dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the First Republic of Georgia. The semifinal and final stages will be led by a Georgian club “What? Where? When?”.

The educational project was founded in 2015 and it aims to encourage the students to take interest in the history of the First Republic. The contestants of the project have been given electronic versions of the historic publications of 1918-1921, based on which the questions of the semifinal and final stages have been prepared.

60 schools, having the best results in the semifinal, will compete in the final. The final stage will be held on the 21^st of May in Tbilisi. The winners of the project will be awarded with prizes and certificates.
