Archival collection of Rezo Tabukashvili was added to the Fonds of the National Archives

The private archive of Georgian writer, screenwriter and playwright Rezo Tabukashvili was added to the fonds of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

The Director General of the National Archives, Teona Iashvili hosted Lasha Tabukashvili at the Exhibition Pavilion, where he transferred the archival materials and publications, owned by Revaz Tabukashvili, to the National Archives. Among them were: photographs taken by Vittorio Sella at the end of the 19th century in Racha and Svaneti; books and periodicals published abroad by the representatives of the First Republic of Georgia; fragments of the Georgian manuscripts of the 17th-18th centuries; St. Ketevan's torture and other unique documents written in the 19th century.

It should be noted that several years ago Lasha Tabukashvili also transferred his family's rich photo collection (photographs reflecting Revaz Tabukashvili and Medea Japaridze's life and activity) to the National Archives of Georgia.

Revaz Tabukashvili's archive will be available for any interested person after its registration and processing.
