Merab Kostava's 80th Anniversary in the National Archives

The National Archives of Georgia celebrates the 80th anniversary of Merab Kostava with the exhibition.

The exhibition pavilion hosted the exposition, depicting Merab Kostava's life and the events of the last decades of the past century. The event was opened by the Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani.

The exhibition features archival material and photos preserved in private archives, private collections, and the National Archives of Georgia, most of which are still unknown to the public.

Merab Kostava's personal archival materials were handed over to the National Archives by his wife, Rusudan Beridze.

The exhibition will last till June 7. Attendance is free.

Today, a documentary by Giorgi Khaindrava will be screened at the National Archives cinema. The film "Carthage Must Be Destroyed" was shot in 2013 and is dedicated to Merab Kostava.
