Digitalization of Georgian manuscript books, preserved at the division of ancient documents of the Central Historical Archive of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, began.

792 manuscripts, covering the period of the 9th-19th centuries are preserved at the fonds of manuscript books collection of the division of ancient documents.

The manuscripts are various and it concerns: history, philology, hagiography, secular and religious law, Old and New Testament, Georgian and world geography, medicine, poetry, etc.

The main material of the manuscript books is paper, part of the documents is written on parchment.
The oldest documents of the collection is dated back with the 9th century.
