The National Archives of Georgia – 100

2020 marks 100 years since the founding of the National Archives of Georgia. On April 23, 1920 the Constituent Assembly of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia adopted a law on “Establishing Central Scientific Archives of the Republic”.

Regarding the anniversary date following events are planned the whole year round: exhibitions, conferences, educational projects, presentations of publications, expeditions, public lectures;  a special logo have already been prepared. 

The Fifth International Conference of the National Archives, to be held on September 24-26, will be dedicated to the festive date. Also student's scientific project on the subject of the First Republic and educational project for school students "The First Republic of Georgia". Besides, International Student Conference Archives, Students, Innovations will be held on November 4-5 of 2020 for the first time, under the patronage of UNESCO. 

The following exhibitions will be opened during the anniversary year: "Armed Forces of the First Republic of Georgia", "The King Erekle II", "100 Years since the Visit of the Second International", "Saint George", etc.
