Less known Photo of Oliver Wardrop – Document of the Week

The National Archives of Georgia in the frames of the “Document of the Week” presents the photo of the British diplomat, traveler and translator Sir Oliver Wardrop.

Oliver Wardrop was the United Kingdom’s High Commissioner of Transcaucasia in Georgia in 1919-1920.

This less known photo is taken in Tbilisi, 13, Machabeli street (today’s Writers’ House), where the representation of the Britain was located during the period of the First Republic.

The photo (stereo slide) is preserved in the National Archives of Georgia, in the collection of Nikoladze-Ghambashidze.
