Exhibition dedicated to the Anniversary of Niko Nikoladze was held at the National Archives

Exhibition dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the famous Georgian publicist and public figure Niko Nikoladze was opened at the exhibition hall of the National Archives of Georgia. Deputy Minister of Justice, David Jandieri attended the exposition.

As the General Director of the National Archives, Teona Iashvili mentioned, “the presented photos depict the different fields of development of Georgia from this period. Today the wide society has the opportunity to acquaint with these unique photos. After the creation of the digital versions of the glass negatives, the material is accessible for any interested person.”

The photos are taken by Niko Nikoladze, Giorgi Nikoladze, Davit Guramishvili and Vakhtang Ghambashidze in the 70s of the 19th and 20s of the 20th centuries. 37 photos are presented at the exposition. In 1972 the major part of the photo materials was transferred to the National Archives of Georgia by Rusudan Nikoladze, sister of Giorgi Nikoladze.

Exhibition at the National Archives will last till July 10 and it is free of charge.
