In order to promote the research of Georgian traditional music, the National Archives started a new project

The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Higher School of Church have started cooperation in order to promote Georgian traditional music and related scientific research.

In order to increase access to archival material, the manuscript of the musical dictionary created by Chijavadze-Gvakharia preserved in the National Archives will be digitized and an electronic edition will be prepared. Access to the internet resource will be free of charge for interested students and researches.

Within the scope of cooperation, the General Director of the National Archives, Teona Iashvili, and the Rector of the Giorgi Mtathsmindeli Higher School of Church Chanting, Archimandrite Ioane Kikvadze, signed a memorandum of cooperation in the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives.
