The National Archives will present its projects at the 26th ICARUS Congress

The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia will take part in the 26th Congress of the International Center for Archival Research (ICARUS), which will be held online on May 25-26.

During the event, ICARUS member countries will present ongoing projects in their archives. On May 26, the National Archives will introduce the participants to two ongoing projects in the archives: "World War II in Georgian Archives", which aims to identify documents on the subject in the National Archives, create a bilingual guide, publish memoirs of war participants and prepare scientific papers based on archival material; "Protection of Georgian Film Heritage" envisages digitization and digital restoration of Georgian film collections, creation of an online film catalog and construction of a new building for the Central Archive of Film and Photo Documents.

The National Archives of Georgia has been a member of the International Center for Archival Research (ICARUS) since 2014 and actively participates in the events organized by them.
