Public Lecture of Hubertus Jahn at the National Archives

The National Archives of Georgia organized the public lecture at the cinema hall of the National Archive of Georgia. The public lecture was given by Hubertus Jahn, Doctor of Philosophy and the Lecturer of the history of Russia and Caucasus at the faculty of history of Cambridge University.

The subject of the lecture was "The Statue of Vorontsov and Russian Imperial Scenario in Georgia during the 19th century."

The main part of Hubertus Jahn's research is the history of Russia and it's focusing on the social and cultural aspects and the history of The Caucasus. Hubertus Jahn is currently researching the aesthetic notion of Russian Empire and Imperial scenario in the South Caucasus.

Different lectures by various scientists will take place monthly at the National Archives of Georgia. The next lecture will be given by The Head of the TSU Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, Prof. Rismag Gordeziani. The subject of the lecture is: "Ancient Greek Theatre".
