The National Archives of Georgia celebrates the 80th anniversary of Merab Kostava with an exhibition.

An exposition depicting the life of Merab Kostava and the events of the last decades of the last century was organized in the exhibition pavilion. The event was opened by the Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani.

The exhibition presents archival material and photographs preserved in personal archives, private collections and the National Archives of Georgia, most of which were unknown to the public until now.

Merab Kostava's personal archive materials were handed over to the National Archives by her husband, Rusudan Beridze.

The exhibition will last until June 7. Viewing is free.

Today, the documentary film by the director Giorgi Khaindrava will be screened in the cinema of the National Archive. The film "Carthage must be destroyed" was shot in 2013 and is dedicated to Merab Kostava.
