The employees of the Laboratory of Restoration of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia are visiting Poland with the study visit.
Georgian restorers are acquainting with the work of the Central Conservation Laboratory with the invitation and organization of the State Archives of Poland. The visits to the Laboratory of the Archive of Modern Records in Warsaw and the conservation department of the National Library are also planned.
The main directions of the course are: conservation problems in digitalization projects; among them: assessment of the documents conditions, possible technical problems, choosing digitalization methods and scanner with regard to the size, condition and construction of documents; preservation of the wax seals.
The study visit of the employees of the National Archives to the State Archives of Poland will be finished on 20 November.
