Awarding Ceremony of the National Archives Project winners

Michael Ramishvili - son of the Chairman of the First Republic of Georgia - Noe Ramishvili, Thierry Berishvili - son of Georgian emigrant Mamia Berishvili and Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani awarded the winners of the National Archive’s project – “The First Democratic Republic of Georgia” with the medals, certificates and prizes.

Mtskheta Public School #1 won the first place in the quiz held within the framework of the project. The second place was occupied by the "European School" and the third – by "Kandidhi" school.

The best player of the quiz was Tamar Beridze, member of "Kandidi" team, who gave the most correct answers.

In addition, the winners in the following nominations were awarded: distinguished captain - Lizi Beruashvili, Tbilisi Public School # 146; Outstanding Players: Mariam Lobzhanidze, Rustavi N5 Public School; Giorgi Macharashvili, "European School"; Nikoloz Sepiashvili, Tbilisi Public School N63 Ana Gogolidze, Tbilisi N124 public school; Tamta Nozadze, school "Poliglot"; Luka Gharibashvili, School-Lyceum "NK"; Najiba Mamedov, public school of village Tsikhisdziri of Mtskheta region; Giorgi Leluashvili, "European School".

Roland Bakradze, teacher of the history of public school of Tsikhisdziri village in Mtskheta region was awarded in the nomination – the most organized teacher; Maia Gelashvili, the teacher of History of Mtskheta Public School #1 was named as the best manager of the team.

32 schools of Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Rustavi participated in the project. At the first stage the staff of the National Archives held presentations in the schools on the First Republic of Georgia. Each school created a 5-member team, which were distributed in 8 subgroups by ballot voting for participation in the quiz. The final stage of the project - the quiz was held on 21 and 22 May.

The educational project was laid out in 2015. The National Archives has written, photo and film documents, reflecting the history of the First Republic of Georgia.

The educational project serves the interest of students in the history of the First Democratic Republic.
