National Archives of Georgia has Served Approximately 51 000 Citizens in 2012

The National Archive of Georgia had served approximately 51 000 citizens in 2012.

Historical Archive, Contemporary History Archive, Audio-Visual Archive, Central Archive of Kutaisi, as well as the local archives issued approximately 50 000 thematic and social-legal notifications for the citizens.  Approximately 700 researchers have worked at the researcher hall. Among them 70 were foreign citizens.

Citizens actually require the birth, death, marriage certificates; repression and rehabilitation certifications; certificate of seniority, genealogy and biography, also certificate of property right etc.

Informational service of the National Archives is accesible at Public service halls, also in regional and local archives.

What concerns the researchers, during 2012 they have worked on the following themes : Greeks in Georgia; Russian policy in Dagestan; Caucasia in 19th -20th centuries; Archeological documents of Caucasia; The history of irrigation in middle Asia; The Russian Tsar’s invasive policy in south Azerbaijan; Cultural institutions in Caucasia in 1920-1920 and etc.
