VIII International Conference of the National Archives has ended

The three-day international conference "Archival Studies, Source Studies - Trends and Challenges" was organized by the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and attracted 168 experts from Georgia and abroad.

Since its inception in 2016, the event's goals have been to compile scientific news, support multidisciplinary and intercultural research, and foster scientific exchanges between international and Georgian scientists.

The eighth international conference this year honored Davit Agmashenebeli's 950th birthday, and a special session focused on topics related to Georgia's history in the 12th century. Various topical sessions included current topics in philology, history, art studies, culturology, digital archives and databases, and conservation and restoration.

The materials of the conference will be published on the website of the National Archives of Georgia in electronic format.
