The winners of the National Archives educational project have been revealed

10 winners of the essay competition of the educational project of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia "First Democratic Republic of Georgia" have been revealed. Liana Edisherashvili (Khovli Public School of Kaspi Municipality) took the first place. Nini Kekelidze (Ilia Chavchavadze Batumi N1 Public School) and Nana Gogberashvili (Ivane Javakhishvili Poti N3 Public School) took the II and III places.

IV-X places were taken in the competition: Ani Avaliani (public school of Orpiri village, Tkibuli municipality), Mariam Tsetskhladze (Ilia Chavchavadze Batumi public school N1), Cecil Eragia (Poti St. Nicholas Secondary High School, Tbilisi) Bakurtsikhe Public School of the Municipality), Mariam Masurashvili (Kareli N1 Public School), Rezi Kobelashvili (Tbilisi N210 Public School) and Ketevan Shughliashvili (Gori N12 Public School).

The winners will be awarded diplomas, National Archive editions and prizes.

Schoolchildren from different regions of Georgia wrote an essay on the topic "The Experience of the First Republic - Georgia's Road to Europe" online in the final round on May 20. Out of 109 students participating in the project, 38 participated in the finals. Their works were evaluated by the competition commission.

The educational project of the National Archives about the First Republic of Georgia was launched in 2015. To date, more than 4,600 students from 850 public and private schools have participated in it. Due to the global pandemic, the project has been held in the format of an essay competition for the last two years.
