The retrospective of Georgian cinema of the 60s continues in the cinema of the National Archives

The Cinema of the National Archive of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia is hosting screenings of restored Georgian feature films. Otar Ioseliani's "For Giorgobi" (1966), Giorgi Shengelaia's "Alaverdoba" (1962) and "Pirosmani" (1968) will be screened as part of the retrospective of Georgian cinema of the 60s on June 3, 4 and 5, at 19:00.

Distinctive works of digitally restored Georgian cinema classics are presented at the screenings organized by the Georgian National Film Center and the National Archives of Georgia. At the following screenings, the audience will see feature films: Alexander Rekhviashvili's "Chronicle of the 19th Century", Nana Mchedlidze's "The First Swallow", Eldar Shengelaia's "Sherekilebi", Merab Kokochashvili's "Big, Green Valley" and Rezo Esadze's "Love at First Sight". "Repentance" by Abuladze.

The films have been restored in cooperation with the Georgian National Film Center and the National Archives. The retrospective of restored Georgian films opened at the Cinema Hall of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia on May 27 and will continue until June 19. Attendance at film screenings is free.
