In the first half of 2023, 14,357 sheets of documents from the National Archival Fonds – 40 photographs, 41 technical drawings, and other archival documents – were restored in the restoration laboratory of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

77 historical documents of Georgian kings, clergy, and statesmen were restored during this period.

In addition, conservation work was carried out on 500 film tapes and 80 audio documents.

It is worth noting that this year the restorers of the National Archives actively worked on the 12th-13th century Quraish four gospels, which is written on parchment and contains palimpsest sheets.
