The Winners Of The National Archives Educational Project Have Been Revealed

 

The winners of the educational project of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia "The First Democratic Republic of Georgia" were announced today. Mariam Bokuchava (Tbilisi Independent Secular Gymnasium "Shavnabada") took the first place). Davit Sepashvili (Kvareli Public School N2) and Nika Kavtaradze (Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili Public School N53) took the II and III places. IV place 9 points 9 students - Anano Japaridze (St. Ilarion Georgian Orthodox School-Gymnasium in Mestia), Giorgi Sanikidze (Zugdidi, Abkhazia N1 Public School), Elene Kikolashvili (Tbilisi Independent Secular Gymnasium "Shavnabada Akhaldze") Zikilia village public school of the municipality), Liana Edisherashvili (Khovli village public school of Kaspi municipality), Lina Kurtanidze (Kldi village public school of Akhaltsikhe municipality), Mariam Shomakhia (Abasha N2 public school), Nino Khidasheli (Tbilisi N191 public school) and Ketevan Shugliashvili (Gori N12 public school) .

As a result, 12 best essays were selected from the works of 41 finalists, the authors of which will be awarded diplomas, a set of publications of the National Archives and prizes. The other finalists will also be awarded by the National Archives. All project participants will receive a certificate.

The theme of the competition was - "Why is it important to know the history of the First Republic of Georgia today?" The competition took place on the zoom platform, online. The educational project about the First Republic of Georgia was founded in 2015 and so far more than 4500 students from about 800 public and private schools have participated in it.
