Announcement - Retrospective of Otar Ioselian's films

 

The National Archive of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia will host a retrospective of Otar Ioseliani’s filmography on February 2-4,. Over the course of three days, in order to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the director's birth, the audience will see 5 digitally restored feature films in the cinema of the National Archive:

February 2, 19:00 –  "Once Upon A Time There Was A Singing Blackbird" (1970);

February 3, 16:00 – "Pastorali" (1975); 18:00 – "Favorites of the Moon" (1984);

February 4, 16:00 – "Falling Leaves" (1966); 18:00 – "And Then There Was Light" (1989).

It should be noted that in 2021, Otar Ioseliani handed over to the National Archives of Georgia high-quality digital copies (DCP format) of 21 documentary and feature films shot in Georgia and France from the 1950s to 2015, which became part of the National Archival Fonds of Georgia. The films were scanned and digitally restored in France.

Attendance at film screenings is free.
