The delegation of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia participates in the meeting of the representatives of members of the Archival Portal of the Europe Network of Excellence (APEx) held in Turin, Italy.

The National Archives of Georgia was involved in the project of APEx, funded by the European Union, several weeks ago. The mission of APEx is deepening the cooperation between the European Archives to improve accessibility of their materials via internet.

The first workshop is organized for newly joined members and its goal is to acquaint with the principles of uploading the materials on APEx website. After this the National Archives of Georgia will locate the digital versions of its own documents on APEx website.

In the delegation of the National Archives of Georgia are: Natalia Gladchenko, Head of the Division of Public and International Relations; Zviad Melkadze, Head of the Department of Informational Technologies; Onise Gabisonia, programmer of the same department.

The subjects of the two days discussion are: issues of the development of web portal; relations between the countries; about the translation process, guides, additional information.
