The screening of the first Georgian documentary “The Journey of Akaki tsereteli in Racha-Lechkhumi”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the filming was held today at the film hall of the Audio-Visual Archive.
The screening was attended by the Minister of Justice Ms. Tea Tsulukiani, the representatives of the Ministry, general director of the National Archives Ms. Teona Iashvili, film critic Gogi Dolidze, director Nana Janelidze and other invited guests.
According to Ms. Tea Tsulukiani, Minister of Justice of Georgia, the National Archives keep the history of our country. Its preservation for the future generations is one of the priorities of the authority.
“National Archives began the celebration of the 100th anniversary of “The Journey of Akaki tsereteli in Racha-Lechkhumi” since the beginning of 2012. We preserve not only film tapes, but photos and the memories of Vasil Amashukeli that concerns the filming of the first Georgian Documentary” – mention the head of the National Archives.
