Photography in Georgia has a rich history. The "Society of Tbilisi Amateur Photographers", which existed in Tbilisi in 1893-1906, speaks of this. The presented book contains the history of this society, an incomplete list of members, reports of their activities, exhibitions and other information.

The photos and illustrations in the book are preserved in the National Archives of Georgia and various museums.
