The year 2020 marks 100 years since the establishment of the National Archives of Georgia.
On April 23, 1920 the Government of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia adopted law on establishing of the first archival institution – Central Scientific Archive of Republic.
In regard to this date festive events – exhibitions, conferences, educational projects, presentation of different publications, expeditions, and public lectures – are planned the whole year round.
Special logo was designed respecting the anniversary occasion.
The 5th International Conference of the National Archives of Georgia that will take place in September, as well as the Student Scientific Project concerning the First Democratic Republic of Georgia and educational project for pupils “The First Republic of Georgia” will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Archives. Furthermore, under the patronage of UNESCO Student International Conference was founded, planned to be arranged in November.
On a festive occasion the exhibitions will be organized as follows: “Armed forces in 1918-1921”; “King Erekle II”; “100 years since the visit of the Second International Delegation”; “Saint George”, etc.
